The discipline has a total of 1,198 professional nurses, including 10 national key talents in traditional Chinese medicine nursing, one with the title of “Top Ten Nursing Leaders” of Tianjin, five with the title of “One Hundred Elite Nurses”, 25 with the title of “One Thousand Excellent Nurses” and nine postgraduate supervisors. The department has won the honorary title of national advanced unit of quality nursing of traditional Chinese medicine hospital. For consecutive years, members of the department have been ranked top in the occupational skill competitions of Tianjin, and have been awarded the May 1st Labor Medal of Tianjin for nine times. In recent years, the department has participated in more than 60 research projects, and has won five scientific and technological achievements of Tianjin, including one national leading achievement. Besides, the department has won one third prize of the first science and technology award of Tianjin Nursing Association and one second prize of teaching achievements competition of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, the department has obtained approval for 64 patents and one invention patent with commercialization completed. The department has served as chief editor or deputy chief editor for six academic books as well as seven textbooks for the “13th Five-Year Plan” and the “14th Five-Year Plan”. Moreover, the department has compiled one industry guidebook for Tianjin.
